Think I'm on about my 5th or 6th play, haven't been able to make myself listen to anything else all day and fucking love it (how surprising...).

To be honest I just liked three songs so I'm really disappointed. This album was way too soft for me..

there's some heavy songs on there though, Tear It Down and Like It Is spring to mind

I made the mistake of installing a last.fm plugin for my mp3 player on Sunday night and now my love of SOiL looks even worse than ever, oops. 
Pretty pissed off though, my local HMV aren't getting any copies in on the release date despite my asking (although I can order it in after release, useful  ) and because of the postal strike, the copies I've preordered probably won't arrive 'til the end of the week. Not fair!!

| I am loving it. I think that Tear It Down just puts me in a good mood for the whole album and it just glides through. The heavy songs are brilliantly heavy and the slow songs are your best slow songs as well. |

Oh my God!!
I am very impressed.
I had my first listen last night and at the same time did a real time review of the songs on my twitter. That was really fun. (wonder how many blocked me after over 20 posts in a row hehe)
They are here tonight, I am so excited.
I have not seen them live since back in like 2005.
Hopefully I will be back with a buttload of pics and video.

Listened for 15 times ,maybe more.
First time when I listened it , I was terrifyied by this new Soil, and didn't like the album. But when I listened it second time , my mind was blown out by five or maybe six songs.
And I can say , that when I listened it ten times I really liked it.
FUUUUUUUUUUUCK THIS IS AWESOME

I haven't seen copies of the album being released abroad, but I know the CD booklet of my copy has the lyrics in it.
Just google it, though. I'm sure there are plenty of sites to offer lyrics, though I can't guarantee total accuracy on those. |

I'm very surprised how much I love the more melodic songs, normally I'd go to the heavy songs and play them more than than the melodic, slower songs, but with this album its the complete opposite. Songs like Anymore, Calling Out, Waster and Surrounded have been played so much. But songs like Temptation, Like It Is, The Lesser Man and Chosen One (digipack) are still some of the best heavy stuff I've heard this year!
Because I'm able to listen to absolutely any song and enjoy the hell out of it, slow or heavy this is 100% my favorite album of the year! |
