Another wonderful SOiL show, of course. They are really sounding great. Unfortunately they only got to play for like 25 minutes but it was awesome anyway. The crowd was a lot bigger than I expected (they were on kinda early in the day) and everybody knew all the words to the songs! It was cool. Except I didn't really like getting kicked in the head by crowdsurfers.
Set list? The order's wrong...you know I really am awful when I can't remember like 7 songs
Breaking Me Down
Pick Me Up
Like It Is
True Self
Fight for Life
Redefine
Halo
They came to the merch tent (Nic it wasn't the same without you! haha) after and signed stuff...the line would get shorter and then it would get huge again haha. They came in waves. I finally got a picture with all of them together which somehow never occured to me before....So that pretty much rocked. We stood over there and listened to a few of the other bands, too.
The next band we really watched was Machine Head and they were obviously great. We caught the end of Dragonforce, too, and they were fun. Then we watched Disturbed...man it was late by then haha and we were like dying, but they were great. I like them. I still want to know how Dave Draiman found out he can make those crazy noises. Oh and his creepy LAUGH haha. Then we stayed for the first maybe 5 songs of Slipknot's set. I'll probably get killed for this but I didn't like their live sound as much as I thought I would. And man were they LOUD. But we just left because it was getting cold and we were in pain haha (and we didn't want to be stuck in the parking lot with thousands of other, and many drunk, people).
This makes it sound like the day went really quick and it kind of did, but we were there from like 2 to 11 haha. It was a long day, but tons of fun.

I'm so sad that I missed it.
I was bummed out all day yesterday. I'm in Colorado with Wednesday 13.
Glad to hear it went really well though. I wish I could have been there!

I don't feel like starting another topic but I went to two shows this week, one in Mokena on Saturday and last night in Milwaukee.

Saturday was Powerfest so there were like random German bands there and stuff haha. But other than not being able to hear Adam's vocals very well, the show was awesome. They said they'd only had a few rehearsals and were rusty but whatever you couldn't tell haha.

Last night was the Dope tour...they were having some guitar issues (I feel like all the bands except Dope had some sort of problem, actually, and even they had to adjust their monitors a few times). It was a short set but again a great show. People were really into it which is always fun to see.

Tim's new Spector basses are beautiful, by the way.

Oh and I should say both nights they only played one new song, Like it Is. I really, really like that song.

I am ridiculously jealous of you getting to see them again, glad you had a great time though!
