I have set up visual confirmation for new users, but in case bots start slipping in, please do not reply to them. I will delete them as needed and it is just a bigger hassle to have to delete unnecessary posts along with it. You will receive fair warning if you break this rule, but if it becomes a habit, a temporary ban will be instated. I have enough work to do being the only moderator of this forum. I know you all understand.
For those of you who don't know what bot posts are, they the spam posts. The 'celebrity porn'/real estate/prescription meds/whatever other crap bots post. You will know it isn't a genuine user.
Thanks guys.
I have to put this here, because on the other forum I moderate, we had a huge bot breakout for a while (up to 100 A DAY!!) and it was SUCH a hassle disabling the user names for each of them and then deleting all of those posts as well as user's snarky replies. I don't think it will be an issue with the visual confirmation in place, but in case it becomes one, this is the rule.
And for anyone that asks why the visual confirmation is there, here's your answer. _________________
